Front Approach to Centenary HouseThe picturesque village of Shepton Mallet in the rolling Mendip Hills provides the perfect setting for Centenary House, a private residential care home for up to 13 elderly people. With full membership of the RCPA, Centenary House has a reputation for providing high quality residential care in a comfortable, homely setting.  Our small group of committed, qualified staff provide 24 hour care for our elderly residents and we aim to meet and exceed current regulations, offering ‘care without compromise’ in all areas of our service.

Our care home distinguishes itself with an interesting history – it was built in 1892 to mark the 100th birthday of the death of the founder of the Methodist church, John Wesley. Converted to a residential care home in the 1980’s, tasteful extensions added to the character of the home, turning it into the impressive, detached twin gabled property that is it today.

The residential care home is located close to the A361 with great links to Glastonbury, Warminster and Trowbridge. The surrounding areas of Cheddar, Frome and Wells provide great day trips for all our residents and visiting family.

If you are seeking a small, friendly, happy home for yourself or one of your relatives, we’d be more than happy to show you around, so that you can see what makes Centenary House a unique residential home.
